The Ultimate Range Rover 2019
"The best off-roader in the world might be the best luxury car in the world"- Top Gear
Arguably the definitive big, luxury SUV. Frequently imitated, but rarely bettered or even equaled, the Range Rover has been around since the early Seventies. And even though that means it’s only a couple years shy of its fiftieth birthday, the Rangie is still only in its fourth generation. With the 2018 facelift comes even more efficiency, thanks to the introduction of the P400e plug-in hybrid, which pairs a 296bhp, four-cylinder petrol engine with a 114bhp electric motor for 64g/km of CO2, a claimed 101mpg and 31 miles of all-electric range. The P400e replaces the SDV6 Hybrid (a conventional, non-plug-in hybrid with the 3.0-litre V6 diesel and a small electric motor) in the line-up, but V6s and V8s in petrol and diesel (with up to 557bhp for the flagship, 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol) remain available.
With its floating roof line, continuous waistline and lower accent
graphics, they haven’t set out to reimagine the Range Rover, they've simply
made it better. Innovative features such as Premium LED headlights give
it even greater presence.

A truly first-class travel experience. The Range Rover’s sublime and beautifully appointed interior features executive four-seat comfort with five-seat versatility. Rear seats now have increased recline and deeper cushioning for greater comfort. From the steering wheel’s hidden-until-lit, touch-sensitive switches to Touch Pro™ Duo’s beautifully integrated 10 inch touchscreens, the Range Rover contains a selection of technologies designed to deliver a refined, connected drive.
The ‘SDV6’ diesel is a jolly lovely thing too. This is not as refined an
engine as the Germans’ latest six-cylinder diesels, but it’s torque -
there’s something hugely satisfying about the way it surges forth - and
powerful enough to haul the big Rangie to 62mph in less than eight
seconds.

The face-lifted Range Rover is a wonderfully appealing thing. As good as
it’s ever been, thanks to an update that does a good job of masking the
fact this particular model has been around for six years now.
